This program focuses on the latest technological changes in the copper industry as it relates to the plumbing and piping trades. The program will introduce standards for two new types of copper tube, new test method for water-flushable soldering fluxes and a recommended practice for soldering copper tube and fittings. Also, the materials and methods involved in making consistent, high quality soldered and brazed joints and ways to identify and avoid several common causes of failure of copper piping systems will be discussed.
